Short Medium Long hairstyles 2012
you want to achieve a new look in the coming year, then you will definitely want to consider a new hairstyle. With just a simple change to cut and color, you can have a whole new look that can be trendy, fashionable and modern. To get a hairstyle that you will love, you will want to know what options you have. The best thing to do would be to consider the popular hairstyles of 2012. You just might find a style that you will love. Here are some options that you could consider.
The Short Haircuts 2012
Right now, popular hairstyles of 2012 trend largely toward short styles. This is most likely because so many celebrities are choosing these short styles. We all know that celebrities are certainly the trendsetters when it comes to style! The short looks that are popular hairstyles of 2012 include everything from a dramatic extremely short pixie cut to a more classic layered bob.
Some of the popular styles to consider would be to take your cue from celebs like Keira Knightly and Emma Watson who are sporting a super short pixie cut. If you want something a little longer, consider the choppy layers that celebs like Kristin Cavallari are choosing.
The Medium length hair styles 2012
If you prefer something a little longer, then there are plenty of popular hairstyles in 2012 of medium length. For something modern, consider a shoulder sweeping bob. If the hair is cut in choppy ends, the look can be quite modern. Shoulder length curls are also popular for the coming year. If you choose a medium length style, make sure you use the right products to keep it modern and sophisticated. Pomades can be quite handy in creating straight, choppy looks. A volumizing spray can be useful to add height.
The Long hairstyles 2012
Some of the most popular hairstyles of 2012 are also quite long. Again, this would have to do with celebrity looks. Many celebrities like Blake Lively and Jennifer Lopez are making these styles trendy. To keep the long strands from looking boring, the trend now is to include lots of texture. Beachy waves are especially popular and can be achieved through a texturizing spray that includes sugar or sea salt.
For a more defined long look, new hairstyles of 2012 also include sleek, choppy layers and sideswept bangs. To get the smooth, sleek look, you will need to make use of a quality flat iron and a straightening spray. Be careful that the hair does not get flat since popular styles now include plenty of body at the roots.

Big Hair Styles
In case you were wondering, the big, full, long and layered hair style hasn't gone anywhere. Cheryl Cole recently was seen with this very glamorous style.
Create this style on your own by first applying a volumizing hair product and/or a root volumizer product to damp hair. Blow dry the hair using a large round brush. Direct all layers down and under.
When the hair is completely dry, add soft waves throughout using a medium barrel curling iron or hot rollers. To finish off the style and create the height in the crown area, take small sections of hair and gently back comb them and smooth over the top with your fingers.

How do you get a flattering hairstyle?
![]() | ||
| Side swept bangs can be flattering |
Well the big reason comes down to shape. When it comes to your body, you have a definite shape. Some dresses will flatter certain shapes while other dresses will accentuate your flaws and make you look bad.
The same idea goes for your hairstyle. If your hairstyle is really designed for someone with a long face and your face shape is round, then that hairstyle will not be very flattering. The ticket is to find out what your face shape is and look for hairstyles that are designed for that shape.
Another great approach is to get several photos of hairstyles that you like and take them to your hairdresser at your next appointment. Ask you stylist for his or her opinion on whether the hairstyles you have selected will look good on you.
Don't forget to consider styling time when you are picking a new style. Some styles will require a lot of styling time in the morning.

How to do the Pob Hairstyles - Victoria Beckham's Hairstyle
How to Do The Pob Hairstyles
1. Use a texturizing shampoo and conditioner in the shower.
2. Towel dry your hair and work in a small amount of anti-frizz balm and a dollop of volumizing mousse through your hair.
3. Using your hair dryer and a round brush, smooth hair towards your face, boosting more movement in your hair.
4. To style a cowlick, try blasting the heat on the unruly piece of hair first in one direction, then in the next direction, and after repeating a few times, the hair should sit the way you want.
5. Once dry, use a bit of pomade or wax to spike up the shorter pieces and seperate longer strands.
6. Use a small amount and rub between your hands to get the product soft, warm and pliable.
7. When your hair is styled, finish off with a touch of glossy shine serum and a spritz of finishing spray. Throughout the day you can touch and fluff up your hair.
8. Shorter styles usually require a bit more maintenance than longer ones. You'll need to get regular trims every 4-6 weeks, and keep that color fresh as there is nowhere for roots to hide.
9. You won't need to wash your hair everyday as choppier styles usually hold up well with slightly dirty hair.

Celebrity long hairstyles 2010
Celebrity long hairstyles are not as difficult to achieve as you think them to be. In fact with a little bit of effort and imagination on your part you can have these celebrity hairstyles right from the cool confines of your home. Whether it is the latest Jennifer Aniston style that you are looking for or the hairstyle of Paris Hilton that you need to copy, you can create them and that too even without a personal hairstylist.
You can in fact duplicate most of the celebrity hairstyles by using a quality hair straightening iron. Using a bit of imagination is perhaps the secret to a good hairstyle. The good old hit and trial method would work in the case of hairstyles too. You should constantly try different styles. Even a seemingly small alteration such as parting your hair from left to right can have a dramatic effect on how you look.
The shape of your face will dictate your hairstyle to a very large extent. For instance those with heart shaped faces will always look good with chin length hair or any type of long hairstyle for that matter. In fact most of the celebrity hairstyles look good since a lot of thought has gone behind them. The personal stylists of celebrities often try out different styles based on the facial features of these celebrities before arriving at a particular hairstyle. Whether it is Jennifer Lopez or Brad Pitt, or for that matter any celebrity, they look good in their respective hairstyles because the particular style suits their face.

Long Hairstyles
If you want to have a trendy hairstyle, then you should have a long hairstyle. That is and pretty much has been the case forever. Not all women, though, look good with long hair. If you are extra short, for example, you wouldn't want to have really long hair because it would make you look even shorter.
The key to getting a long hairstyle to look right is to design the cut so that the face shape is flattered and facial flaws, such as a high forehead, wide face or narrow chin are accented or camouflaged with the haircut.
Options for a long hairstyle include long or short layering, texturizing, side swept bangs or full bangs, thinning out and highlights or lowlights.
Before you decide on a long hairstyle - whether you want to grow your hair out or get hair extensions, you should try on various styles using hairstyle imaging software. Click on photo, left and above, for more details on how you can do this.

Long, spiral curls, inspire many celebrity hairstyles

Long wavy hairstyles will work for any occasion. Get the long wavy look by wrapping small sections of hair around a medium barrel curling iron and hold in a vertical position. Gisele, see photo left, shows us how this hairstyle is done in Hollywood.
Gisele let out her radiant waves. Layers cut through the edges gave her natural wave lovely bounce and created body and movement all over. This hairstyle is best suited to those with a natural wave or curl.
How to Style:Apply styling mousse to wet hair, then using a large radial brush, smooth the hair concentrating on the bangs and crown area. Apply small amounts of wax to the entire hair to give definition and texture throughout.

To finish, piecey waves were added through the ends of her hair to add more texture to her style.

This is an easy style to maintain with regular trims.
How to Style:Apply mousse to damp hair then blow-dry using a medium vent brush, turning your hair under as you go along. Smooth shine the top layers and then lacquer lightly for hold.
